Distinguished Lecturer Program: Introduction to Microgrids

March 19, 2020
1:00  -  3:00 pm

Microgrids improve resiliency for customers or communities that need on site power generation during a utility power outage. They integrate distributed generation, load balancing and energy storage and have the capability to automatically connect and disconnect from the main source — and function autonomously as physical or economic conditions dictate.  During this session, you will learn about:

  • Basic elements and capabilities of a microgrid
  • State-of-art solutions in this area
  • How to assess the feasibility of adopting a microgrid
